Come On In: A Look Inside My Chicago Home

If you’ve ever wondered what it really looks like when I design for myself...this is it.

I recently opened my doors to Homeworthy for a tour of my Chicago home, and let me tell you, this space is as personal as it gets. Every decision, every color, every layer tells a story. Not a “perfect” story… a real one.

This Home Hits Different

This home came together during a time of transition in my life, and I leaned all the way into that energy. I wasn’t trying to impress anyone. I wasn’t chasing trends. I was creating a space that felt like me….bold, evolving, and a little unexpected.

The bones of this house are straight-up ’90s builder grade, but you already know I wasn’t about to leave it like that. I pushed it. I layered in ornate details next to bold, modern art, mixed classic elements with high-drama color, and let the contrast do its thing.

Let’s Talk About the Color

Yup. I went there.

I’ve never been afraid of color, and this home proves it. From deep, saturated hues to high-gloss finishes, I wanted every room to feel intentional and immersive.

Here’s the thing: color isn’t the risk people think it is. Playing it safe is the real risk. When you commit to a color and design around it, it becomes the moment, not the mistake. You can quote me on that.

A Little Old, A Little New, A Whole Lot of Me

One of my favorite things about this home is the mix.

You’ll see traditional millwork, chandeliers, and classic details but they’re paired with modern furniture, bold art, and unexpected textures. I love that tension. It keeps the space from feeling too “done” or too predictable.

I’m a strong believer in that your home should feel collected, not cookie-cutter. It should tell your story and reflect your vibe, not anyone else’s.

Looks Good, Lives Better

I don’t believe in sacrificing function for aesthetics. This is a real home, and it had to work for my real life.

From creating a custom closet moment to choosing materials that can actually handle day-to-day living, every decision had purpose behind it. Beauty is great, but if it doesn’t function, it’s not good design.

Take the Tour

There are just so many moments in this space that you need to see for yourself, so go check it out on Homeworthy here: https://homeworthy.com/watch/tiffany-brookss-chicago-home-is-a-study-in-fearless-design/

And if you’ve been holding back in your own space, consider this your sign to go all in.

No fear. No rules. Just good design.
